  • We will read through all submissions and post the TOP 75 right here on the blog on Thursday, December 19thPLEASE DO NOT COMMENT on the pitches we post UNLESS you are an agent or editor, OR unless an agent or editor asks you a specific question.
  • TWITTER PITCHES: If you do not get through to the top 75, and even if you do, please join us for the Twitter Pitch Party on Friday, December 20th. This will go on all day long, and agents/editors will respond to the pitches they want to request. Twitter pitch parties are a LOT of fun, but please don't get carried away. TWO PITCHES PER HOUR, PER MANUSCRIPT is plenty, and doesn't bog down the feed. Please respect your fellow writers by respecting these rules. You are welcome to pitch more than one manuscript, but please only pitch EACH manuscript no more than TWICE per hour

  1. Hi, Jessa and Tamara. Your Pitchmas honing session was a very good idea. I can't believe the amount of participation and support all of the writers are offering each other. Very, very cool. Would you guys consider holding periodic pitch-honing workshops on the blog even without the official Pitchmas scheduled for immediately after? Say, like a monthly thing so that writers can have a running forum--since you are already established and have a strong following. I don't know how much work it is for the two of you to host the honing workshops but it's been such a positive thing, I thought I'd just suggest it.

    And, thank you!

    1. Hi Suze! We can definitely consider this! Once we get PitchMAS out of the way, Tam and I will discuss this and see if its something we can host for everyone. It's a great idea!

  2. When you say top 75, do you mean the first 75 to submit or the 75 best pitches? Thanks!

  4. Hi, Jessa and Tamara,

Do you count possessive pronouns like "Ben's car" as two words or do you let evil MS Word count it as three instead of two? Hope it's two.

    Thanks for the wonderful contest!

    Cheers,
    Don

  5. I sent 2 stories but only received one confirmation (for the first thing I sent). Should I have received two confirmations?

  7. I know nothing about PitchMas. Like....less than i know about knitting. If you've self-published an indie book can you pitch that?
