I'm actively seeking picture books, middle grade and young adult books. I love science fiction and fantasy for all ages (kids and adult) – in adult books my taste skew more towards the literary, but I'm open to falling in love with something in any genre. I have a particular interest in Jewish themed, Israeli or biblically related books. I love historical fiction. I'm a foodie, so anything food related would also catch my eye, and lately I've been interested in seeing some mysteries and thrillers. While I'm not based in the USA, what I offer is a global perspective. I travel to the US and to many book fairs all over Europe and the world and I specialize in foreign rights.

Terrie grew up on a steady diet of real-life adventure and believed until her early 30’s that days spent with explorers, treasure hunters and other adrenaline junkies was perfectly typical. Her insatiable curiosity led her to positions within the international media and several award-winning writing and promotions teams at venues including CBS, NBC, Penguin (UK) and Hobsons Press (Cambridge University Press). The recipient of the Emmy, Queen’s Service Award (UK), La Voz y Papel (Spain), and Young Journalist of the Year, Terrie read English Literature at Cambridge, studied Creative Writing at NYU and Journalism at CU-Denver, and will tell you she’s equally proud of the “Master of Mirth” status awarded by Ringling Bros. and Barnum and Bailey Circus.
A series of life changing events most anyone else would have labeled “accidents” brought Terrie back to her home in Colorado and after 22 months of rehab, she joined the Anita Kushen Agency in 2009 as a Foreign Rights Specialist. Shortly thereafter, she acquired and renamed the agency.
Terrie wants your very best MG and picture/board books and believes in well-written, well-presented works that touch the tender minds and hearts of young people. She enjoys humorous (not gross), engaging (not mean), adventurous fiction, beautifully illustrated picture/board books and highly expressive and entertaining nonfiction. Dare to thrill her.
Christa Heschke of McIntosh & Otis
Christa Heschke interned at both Writers House and Sterling Lord Literistic, and has been at McIntosh and Otis, Inc. in the children's literature department since 2009. She is actively looking for picture books, middle-grade, and young-adult projects, and is currently building her list. For picture books, she’s drawn to cute, character-driven stories. For middle grade, she’s looking for contemporary stories, humor, adventure, and magical realism for both boys and girls. In the teen arena, she is especially interested in contemporary fiction, horror, thrillers/mysteries, and novels with a romantic angle, with strong, quirky protagonists. She’s also interested in selectively acquiring steampunk and fantasy (urban and high) that push the boundaries of what’s currently on the shelves, perhaps a new take on these genres that has yet to be seen.
"Julia is specializing in representing international authors of unique and captivating commercial fiction, namely thrillers and romance as well as Middle Grade, Young Adult, New Adult, Women's Fiction/Chick Lit. Julia isn't the best fit for sci-fi and futuristic stories and Fantasy should be set in the real world. She's not too keen on vampire and dragon stories, or Harry Potter read-alikes. Other than that, Julia's open to all sub-genres. A hooking plot, engaging characters, and a fresh voice are a must. Bonus points if your manuscript features a sports theme, boarding school, or sports/summer camp, is an amazingly original contemporary retelling of a classic, is set on a ranch, or is a creepy psychological thriller with a stalker theme. Double bonus points if it's in the vein of Friday Night Lights, Center Stage, Pleasantville, or Sliding Doors. Triple bonus points for a male hero that'll leave me swooning."

She enjoys studying languages (French/Japanese), spends time teaching herself how to knit, is a HUGE fan of Doctor Who, and loves dogs.
She is looking for stories that capture her attention and keep her turning the page. She is looking for a strong voice, and stories that have the ability to surprise her. She loves intelligent characters with a great sense of humor. She would love to see fresh, well-developed plots featuring travel with unique, exotic settings, competitions, or time travel. Jordy is specifically looking for:

Amy Treadwell of Chronicle Books

Meredith Rich of Bloomsbury Spark
Once upon a time, Meredith Rich was a girl who regularly hit the limit of books she could take out from the library. Meredith is the digital editor for YA and NA at Bloomsbury Spark, launching this December. You can find her on twitter at @MeredithJHRich

Anna Masrud of Spencer Hill Press
Anna Masrud discovered her love of editing in high school while fretting over the grammatical errors in her literature assignments. When not fretting, she appreciates the finer things in life: loose leaf tea, the frozen tundra of her homeland, and new episodes of The Walking Dead.
Current wishlist: YA & NA fantasy, steampunk, anything with a strong heroine as the main character.
Kisa Whipkey is a dark fantasy author, a martial arts demo team expert, and complete sucker for Cadbury Mini-eggs. She's also the Senior Editor for YA/NA publisher, REUTS Publications. She developed a passion for storytelling at a young age and has pursued that love through animation, writing, video game design and demo teams until finally finding her home in editing. She believes in good storytelling, regardless of medium, and applauds anything featuring a snarky lead character, a complicated narrative structure, and brilliant/uncommon analogies. Currently, she lives in the soggy Pacific Northwest with her husband and plethora of electronics.
When not working or avoiding the rain like a cat thrown in a bathtub, she browses the submission pile, looking for the following:
--Fantasy (Especially the dark variety and containing a psychological element)
--Brilliantly written contemporary fiction
--New twists on old YA themes (i.e. Male MC, innovative paranormal romance, non-sparkly vampires, etc.)
--Sci-fi/Dystopian/Fairy Tale Retellings
--High Fantasy with lots of adventure thrown in, a la Kristin Cashore's Graceling and Sarah J Maas's Throne of Glass

Stephen Morgan of Entangled Publishing
Before joining Entangled, Stephen worked in various facets of
the publishing, magazine, and communications industries as a writer, editor,
and interview coordinator. He currently assists in developing and coordinating
his university’s forthcoming MFA program in Narrative Journalism and
Screenwriting. His Master’s is in Journalism & Mass Communication. His
Master’s thesis, Book DNA, involved a content analysis of what elements
contribute to commercially and critically successful genre fiction. You can reach
him at Stephen (at) entangledpublishing.com. Follow him on Twitter at @Stephen_Edits.
Stephen is looking for high concept mixed genre pieces within
younger and upper YA, New Adult, and Contemporary. Young adult historical time
traveling adventure? New adult vampire detective agency? Steampunk murder
mystery? You get the drift. Let him see it! Just keep in mind that all
submissions must include strong romantic elements.
Stephen also has a barely contained addiction for stories that
take place in the fashion or publishing industry. He watches You've Got Mail,
The Devil Wears Prada, and The Proposal at least ten times every year. He
welcomes you to exploit his addiction without mercy.
He accepts stories of all heat levels. And don’t worry if your
story doesn’t fit his above criteria. All he really requires is a strong
romance and a strong story. Find a way to write your story with commercial
elements and a literary voice and you’ll immediately have his attention. He
also adores a fresh, fun, flirty voice. LGBT characters and stories more than
welcome.
Acquisition Editor Kathleen Kubasiak is living the dream life, surrounded 24/7 by her devoted fan club (aka: her children). She draws on her degrees in Education and Language Arts, as well as her Masters in Library and Information Sciences, in order to homeschool her children while exploring all the nation, and the world, has to offer, thanks to her husband's career. Kathleen is very pleased to also be in a position to help authors achieve their dreams of publication.
Kathleen is looking for works of paranormal, sci-fi, and speculative fiction.
What Kathleen says about her wishlist: "I love when a little romance is thrown into the mix. A strong protagonist with compelling motivation is a must, as well as a believable setting."
Alycia Tornetta is an editor with Entangled Publishing. She works with popular authors such as NYT bestseller Lauren Blakely, USA Today bestseller Karen Erickson, Cindi Madsen, Rachel Harris, Hope Tarr, and many more. She previously interned at Hodder Children’s Books of Hachette UK, Penguin Press UK, Octopus Books, BMJ, and D4EO Literary Agency. She earned her Bachelor’s in English Literature at California State University Sacramento and her Masters in Publishing at the University of the Arts London. Alycia currently lives in a small town where, in the land of trucks, her Mini Cooper is the smallest car around. You can follow her on Twitter at @weechagirl.
My wishlist is:
-YA Contemporary (like Stephanie Perkins or Jennifer Echols or Rainbow Rowell) or thriller/mystery. Could be heists, film noir-like mystery, psychological suspense, etc. Must have a strong romantic element.
-Angsty, sexy, addictive NA or adult romance. Give me anti-heroes, bad boys, fighters, etc with revenge or blackmail plots.
-Anything that combines genres in a unique and clever way. Think Holly Black's Curse Worker series, Marissa Meyer's Lunar Chronicles, or Renee Collins' Relic.
-For Bliss (Entangled's small-town category romance line): I'd love to see quirky towns and fun characters. Think Hart of Dixie and Gilmore Girls.
-For adult/NA/YA: I'd love to see a wild child heroine. Someone a little crazy/quirky/unique or from the wrong side of the tracks.
-Male/Male. For adult romance, YA, NA, or novellas. Any heat level. I'm a big fan of Josh Lanyon, K.A. Mitchell, Kelley York, David Levithan.
Emily Ward is the Managing Editor for the Rush (YA/NA) line of Entranced Publishing, a publisher of quality romance eBooks. She's written various YA and NA books and is studying to teach English overseas.
Mandy Schoen is the managing editor of Swoon Romance and otherwise keeps plenty busy traveling the world, slaying dragons, falling in love, and whatever else her TBR pile has in store for her. When she’s not reading, hanging out with her family, or acquiring and editing incredible stories for Swoon Romance, she can be found wrapped firmly around a cup of flavored coffee whilst pondering ways to convince her husband that adopting a wallaby is a good idea. She lives in St. Louis, Missouri, with her husband, her boxer, and her Nook, but it’s probably easier to find her on Twitter at @Mandy_Schoen.
Mandy’s Submissions Wish-list
Mandy is always looking for the next happily-ever-after, and doesn’t so much mind if the path there is of the sweet or the sexy variety. She is currently most interested in contemporary Young Adult, New Adult, and Adult contemporary romance. (She is NOT interested in YA paranormal.)
She wants to see more dual-narrative POVs, male protagonists who are not necessarily McHottie (sexier inside than they are out), unique contemporary fairy-tale retellings (although not YA paranormal), quirky female protagonists with heart, witty dialogue, a relatable voice, settings with as much personality as the characters, deeply flawed but redeemable men, and clever humor. She enjoys a lighthearted tone as much as a deeply emotive one, and she loves to see complex characters in familiar situations.

When she isn’t working, reading, crafting, or attending her sons’ sporting events, she can usually be found on Twitter at @TheresaMCole.

- Twists on religion (any religion) – bonus points if secret societies are involved
- Alternate histories with paranormal elements – was Jack the Ripper a paranormal being? or Hitler? Put your own spin on history and use an idea that hasn’t been done before.
Chelsea Maya of illusio and baqer (Imprint of Zharmae Publishing Press)
Bio: As graduate of Miami University of Ohio with a self-designed major focusing in young adult literature and social media marketing, Chelsea attended the Denver Publishing Institute and graduated with a graduate certificate in publishing. Young adult literature has always been her passion, but it wasn't until college that she realized she could actually do something with it. Now, as an Associate Editor at illusio & baqer, Chelsea is focused on finding authors and works that will have a lasting impact on their readers.
Wishlist: I’m looking for strong works in middle grade, young adult, and new adult fiction of any genre, though I'm most interested in contemporary/realistic fiction, dystopian fiction, thriller/suspense, science fiction, and fantasy.
Stephanie Sauvinet of World Weaver Press
Nancy Cassidy of Etopia Press
Eileen Wiedbrauk of World Weaver Press
Eileen Wiedbrauk is an editor, writer, coffee addict, cat herder, MFA graduate, fantasist-turned- fabalist-turned-urban-fantasy- junkie, Odyssey Workshop alumna, photographer, designer, tech geek, entrepreneur, avid reader, and a somewhat decent cook. She wears many hats, as the saying goes. Which is an odd saying in this case, as she rarely looks good in hats.
Stephanie Sauvinet of World Weaver Press
As the reading editor for World Weaver Press, Stephanie happily meddles in slush pile goodness. She wanted to be an archeologist for a long time just so she could find the Stargate but settled for the endless possibilities of the SF/F genres. She is a science-fiction nerd who doesn't get tangled in the "Are you a Star Wars fan or a Trekkie?" debacle because she loves both and doesn't see why she would have to choose between Luke and Picard (or Kirk if you're going old school.) When she doesn't read or write, Stephanie practices as an oncology nurse, loves puzzling her cats by speaking French and enjoys the wonders of New Orleans. Her twitter: @stephaniesauvin. You can also find WWP online: @WorldWeaver_wwp and http://worldweaverpress.com/
Wishlist:

Nancy Cassidy of Etopia Press
Nancy, Managing Editor of Etopia, loves writing and reading and everything about the world of fiction. Except maybe zombies. After years of writing technical sales proposals (see hatred of zombies), Nancy brought the passion she felt about books to a more public level, and followed her writing dreams. A member of the Romance Writers of America and the Romance Writers of Atlantic Canada, she is published in erotic romance under the name Lilly Cain with a variety of publishers. Recently she began to write YA sci-fi under the name of Anne Rose.
In the spring of 2011, Nancy began a year-long, distance internship with top New York literary agency, The Bent Agency, as a romance specialist, reviewing queries and manuscripts. In August 2011, she opened TheRedPenCoach.com and began freelance work, editing all genres of fiction, with the exception of picture books or middle grade fiction. In July 2012 she joined the Editors Association of Canada. Now she’s Managing Editor at Etopia Press and loving it!
What she’s Looking For
Nancy’s looking for Contemporary romance with a twist, anything fresh in Paranormal romance (if you send her a vampire story it had really better be new – this is not a challenge!). She would love to see something delicious in a cowboy erotic romance, and suspense of any romantic heat level.
Denise grew up in a small town on Long Island where she spent many lazy afternoons with a good book. She would read at the beach, outside beneath a tree, anywhere she could find to curl up and lose herself in a story for a few hours. She loves reading as much now as she did back then, only now she enjoys the added pleasure of helping those stories evolve.
Wishlist:
I am always on the lookout for romance in any of the following genres:
Paranormal and Urban Fantasy – Shifters, realms, ghosts, psychics… Anything and everything paranormal!
Suspense – Hold-your-breath, can’t-stop-turning-the-pages, suspense!
Action/Adventure, Dark psychological thrillers, and Amateur sleuths are great too.
Wishlist:
Space Science-Fiction
Far-future Science-Fiction
Voice driven Urban Fantasy
Adult or YA/NA Paranormal Romance
Wow! That's quite the bouquet!
